Ernest Miller Hemingway (1899 - 1961) was an American journalist, novelist, short-story writer, and sportsman. He was renowned for novels like The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and The Old Man and the Sea, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953. In 1954, Hemingway won the Nobel Prize in literature.
